Lusting after the latest trinket on the runway is no news to us—and neither is keeping our wallets happy. But we couldn’t do it alone, and the latest spending savvy tip has been brought to us straight from HonestlyWTF.com—a blog with as much sass as it has style, which is a plenty. Its numerous sections alone boggle our minds; where are we supposed to start? Beauty, Fashion, Travel, Art, even a Photo Diary button? The list goes on and on. Our favourite right now is DIY, a collection of how-to guides that turn chic do-it-yourself clothes and accessories into a no-brainer.
The articles are based on real runway looks revamped to make them easy and cost-effective—something we thought was impossible. Plus, we can’t get over the satisfaction of making our own bling. HonestlyWTF.com has all the info—from jewelry DIYs like the Aurèlie Bidermann-based woven chain bracelet pictured above, a clutch made from a sunglasses case or even glittery gold Vans based on Miu Miu sneakers!
The best part is that most of these DIY projects can be done on a rainy day with much more profit than spending. Find yourself bored when it’s thundering outside? Grab some metal links and thread from the garage or the local craft store and go to town—for the sake of fashion. We’re planning on trying a DIY project ourselves, so be sure to check back in for an update!
