Coming in at 12 meters high, its the largest tree ever to be built entirely with Lego! It took 600,000 Lego bits to build, and required a crane to put the star on top. Even the ornaments are made of Lego, all 1200 of them. The tree was created by Lego expert Duncan Titmarsh, and was built by children at local schools and community groups.
Marketing director at Lego, David Buxbaum, commented to Toy News: 'The Lego brand is all about play and creativity and Christmas is the time for celebration and fun…This magnificent Christmas tree is a shining example of these values and shows that with Lego bricks you can let your imagination run wild and build anything.”
The tree will be there until the New Year, so if you’re visiting any relatives in London this season, be sure to take a peek!
