Bieb’s “Boyfriend” Breaks YouTube Record

Much like THE AVENGERS killing at the box office, this is news that doesn’t really come as a surprise. Justin Bieber’s first video for his first single off of his upcoming album, BELIEVE, has broken a YouTube record for single-day stats!

What does that mean? It means that Beliebers, non-Beliebers and neutral-Beliebers alike all popped over to YouTube to check out the new video for “Boyfriend” at some point when it was released on Thursday.

In just 24 hours, it racked up eight million views worldwide and climbed to 17 million streams in under a week. We’re surprised YouTube didn’t fall apart.

His love interest in the video, actor Rachel Barnes, discussed their oh-so-believable chemistry in the video with entertainment website, TMZ, saying, "Justin and Selena are adorably inseparable and I, myself, am already married. I'm a Belieber, but he's not my boyfriend." She continued, "It's been great to be a part of the Bieber madness … even if only for a song."

If you haven’t already seen it (statistics say you likely already have), check out “Boyfriend” below!

Also check out THE VOICE on CTV this week as Justin will be performing the track on tomorrow night’s finale.
