We’ve reported as much as we can about the 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards, omitting one great detail: the possible winners! Yesterday on NEW.MUSIC.LIVE, the 2012 MMVA nominees were finally announced.

Taking the lead with seven nominations are the Vancouver grown boys of Marianas Trench. Treading not too far behind are Drake and Hedley with five nominations each and Down With Webster and Carly Rae Jepsen with four each.

Show co-hosts LMFAO snagged two first time nominations and other first timers include Adele, The Sheepdogs and Victoria Duffield.

Also announced were the brand new UR FAV category wild card nominees which are as follows:
UR Fave Video of the Year – Simple Plan f. Sean Paul (“Summer Paradise”)
UR Fave International Artist or Group – Adele
UR Fave Artist or Group – Hedley
