Fans of THE HUNGER GAMES, have you heard? Jena Malone has been offered the coveted part of Johanna Mason, a tribute from District 7 in the next movie, CATCHING FIRE. A week earlier, Entertainment Weekly reported that Malone was in the running for the role.

Jena Malone has starred in various movies, including CONTACT and PRIDE & PREJUDICE. If she takes the part in CATCHING FIRE, we can probably expect to see her on the big screen for some time since her character also appears in the final book.

The only casting left is for Finnick Odair, a tribute from District 4 who plays an important role in CATCHING FIRE. The filming for the second movie in THE HUNGER GAMES trilogy will begin in September. The final movie in this trilogy is planned for a 2015 release.
