TEEN CHOICE AWARDS Recap

By Josephine Tse

Yesterday was most certainly a huge night for the fans of vampires, magic, adventure and for the Beliebers. Also, it was a night full of brightly coloured surfboard awards! Fox's TEEN CHOICE AWARDS was broadcasted live on July 22nd, 2012, from 8:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. ET. This year's TCA was hosted by Demi Lovato and GLEE's Kevin McHale and showcased amazing performances by the likes of Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Flo-Rida, Pauly D and No Doubt.

The red carpet fashion was certainly semi-formal. The long, flowing gowns and tuxedos that are usually worn to THE OSCARS were replaced by brightly coloured, short summer dresses, casual blazers and dress pants. Nevertheless, everyone looked absolutely stunning at the TEEN CHOICE AWARDS 2012.

I loved this year’s show, it was fun to watch and had a number of great performances. I’m a huge fan of No Doubt so I knew I wasn’t going to miss their first live performance together since 2009. I was also happy to see the Hunger Games make so many wins. I was happy when I realized I didn’t have to set up any timers on my DVR because I knew I wasn’t going to be home when it came on. Thankfully my Hopper automatically records all shows on all major networks during prime time with the Prime Time Anytime feature. I’m glad my coworker at Dish suggested this upgrade because it saves me so much time and I never miss any of my favorite shows.
