They may be their nation's prized athletes, but in their free time, these Olympians aren't so different from us. They're silly, they like to have fun and they're quite creative!
So far, Olympians have already been battling each other in a ferocious competition of… lip synching? Yes, lip synching, and we're going to highlight two of these videos for you today. Here we have the U.S. women's soccer team with 'Party in the U.S.A' by Miley Cyrus. Viewers get a special look at the soccer team's hotel, too. Plus, they were quite prepared with a short and literal choreography during the chorus!
Next we have the U.S. swimmers doing their rendition of 'Call Me, Maybe' by Carly Rae Jepsen. Click here to watch their video. However, we can all agree that 'Call Me, Maybe' has been covered and lip synched too many times — someone should be docking points off this swim team! Unlike the one that the women's soccer team created, this video incorporated different settings. We actually see them jamming out on a plane, in their hotel, during their autograph sessions and even underwater. Best of all, Michael Phelps did a cameo in their video.
Did it surprise you to see that these talented and competitive athletes can be just as silly as us? Leave a comment below!
