Bell the Chihuahua deserves a great big bone and all the dog toys she wants. Chihuahuas have a reputation for not doing much beyond shaking, yapping and peeing, bur one smart little dog was able to break this mold when she found two lost girls in a forest near their home in Georgia.
Lacey and Carlie had been seen going off into the woods and hadn’t returned for hours. Bell’s owner decided to help the firefighters and policemen when they went to search for the girls. He decided to take Bell with him and it’s a good thing he did!
The three-year-old dog was able to sniff out the girls. When she identified their scent in the forest, she followed the trail that led to the sisters, who were unharmed. The two girls played with Bell a lot, so she knew what they smelled like.
Turns out that big dogs like German Shepherds aren’t the only ones out there that can help save lives. Bell, the Chihuahuas of the world must be very proud of you!
