Do you think real Transformers are a million daydreams away? Well, think again. Motivation is an important part of success and this especially rang true when one man in China achieved his dream task of building his own Transformer. He spent six months constructing a Transformer-type robot that actually changes into a car, all with a push of a button. No, it isn't as high-tech and elaborate as Bumblebee or Optimus Prime, but it is an astonishing accomplishment.
Mr. Liu of Jinan, Shandong Province spent around $11,000 to build his Transformer. What's most astounding is that Liu claims he had no prior knowledge of electronics or mechanics before he embarked on the project. This was a side hobby that Liu took on during his free time and is still a work in progress.
The robot can lift itself up to 4.8 metres high and is 2 metres wide. On top of that, it is an eco-friendly car, as it runs on electricity. However, it can only travel up to 15 km/h. The doors act as arms and on the robot's chest area, a LED display shows information about the Transformer.
