Bullying Awareness Week may be over, but that doesn’t mean we lower our voices. Family Channel has rallied a talented group of artists to keep the momentum going with a powerful new music video created in honour of Bullying Awareness Week.
This year marks the tenth annual Stand UP! campaign, a nationwide initiative that spotlights kindness, respect, and the courage to speak out. The campaign featured bullying-focused celebrity interviews and a special half-hour presentation with YouTube vocal-percussion sensation Mike Tompkins and pop star Victoria Duffield, bringing fresh energy—and a clear message—to audiences of all ages.
At the heart of the campaign is a brand-new music video: “Make Some Noise,” the official Stand UP! theme song. The track packs star power and a spirit of solidarity, featuring Victoria Duffield, Ross Lynch & R5, Dylan Everett, Demetrius Joyette, Tyler Medeiros, Sydney Imbeau, Lindsay Hamilton, Brittany Adams, Anastasia A, Ana Golja, dancers from THE NEXT STEP, and the electric crowd from the 2012 Big Ticket Summer Concert. It’s more than a performance—it’s an invitation for everyone to raise their voice against bullying.
Why does it resonate? Because music unites people. The anthem’s message is simple and urgent: speak up, support your peers, and build spaces where everyone feels safe and seen. By blending familiar faces with real audience energy, “Make Some Noise” turns awareness into action and reminds us that change starts with small, everyday choices.
Want to keep the conversation going at home, in schools, or in youth groups?
- Watch together and ask what moments stood out—and why.
- Talk about safe ways to speak up: telling a trusted adult, checking in on a friend, or reporting anonymously when available.
- Create a “Stand UP!” pledge as a class or family and post it where everyone can see it.
- Celebrate upstanders—recognize the people who model empathy and inclusion.
- Keep it going year-round: revisit the video, rotate student-led discussions, and tie the message to digital citizenship and mental wellness.
If you haven’t seen it yet, take a few minutes to watch Family Channel’s Stand UP “Make Some Noise” music video—and share it with someone who could use a reminder that they’re not alone. The week may end, but the work—and the music—goes on.
