The film is curently under development. The script is being written by Justin Theroux. The film will introduce Ironman's main villain The Mandrain.
Jon Favreau revealed their version of the Mandarin "allows us to incorporate the whole pantheon of villains", while S.H.I.E.L.D. will continue to have a major role. Tony Stark will also deal with his alchol problems like he did in comics. One of the biggest changes in the sequal will be the replacment of Terrnace Howard by Don Cheadle.Howard's salary, resulted in him dropping out. Howard, however, said, "There was no explanation [...] apparently the contracts that we write and sign aren't worth the paper that they're printed on, sometimes. Promises aren't kept, and good faith negotiations aren't always held up." Beforehand, Cheadle commented he is a comic book fan, but felt there are not enough black superheroes. The film is curently scheduled to be released on My 7, 2010. --------------------   |

Wow, didn't see this coming
 . I'm excited though and I'm happy to hear that they will get more of the story from the comics, I know some people felt it wasn't the same as the comics.

I don't know if anyone caught this but they hinted The Mandrain in the name of the terrorist group that captured Tony Stark. They were called the Ten Rings. and as you all know The Mandrain wears Ten Rings on his fingers.
Favreau perceived depicting Iron Man's nemesis, the Mandarin, as a challenge, as he finds the use of the character as a metaphor for communism dated. -------------------- |

I doubt anyone really know's who the Mandarin is, let alone he wears ten rings. Except people who read Iron Man comics.
