Colour makes the world come to life. You can find it everywhere in the world, giving character and uniqueness to both ourselves and our surroundings. Among the factors of our world that are graced with colour is our hair. Hair colours come in many varieties, from blonde to black. If you aren’t satisfied with your current hair colour, you can always go to a hairstylist and get a brand new colour makeover.

In the middle of that spectrum, you can find the red hair colour. This is one of the most special colours, as less than 2% of the world’s population have natural red hair. As such, we will be celebrating seven celebrities born with beautiful red hair. This list contains seven famous celebrities with red hair:

1. Isla Fisher

This gorgeous actress has been seen on many screens over the years, tackling a multitude of roles to make all her own. However, she can typically be seen sporting her natural red hair in most of them. From the live action adaption of Scooby-Doo to the mysterious Now You See Me and the action comedy Keeping Up with the Joneses more recently.

She sticks with the colour despite being teased for it quite a bit as a child, but now she fully embraces the look and makes it look fantastic while doing it.

2. Jessica Chastain

Jessica Chastain was also the target for teasing due to her natural features growing up. She was afraid to stand out from those around her because of it, in fact. Much like Isla Fisher, Chastain eventually grew to love her natural colour and adores it today.

While she may occasionally drop the fiery red for a role, she doesn’t care to. In fact, she is quite partial to roles that allow for wigs just so she doesn’t have to dye her hair. Luckily, few roles have actually required her to go that far.

3. Ron Howard

When the world was first introduced to Ron Howard, his hair colour wasn’t noticeable by viewers of the classic television program The Andy Griffith Show. This is due to the fact that the show was originally aired in black and white, before transitioning to eye-catching colour before the series ended.

Following the transition, and eventually Howard’s move to next iconic series Happy Days, viewers became familiar with his bright red hair. Since then, Howard has found a successful spot behind the camera as a director, but natural red colour of his hair remains to this day.

4. Scott ‘Carrot Top’ Thompson

Embracing your natural hair colour is one thing, but Scott Thompson instilled his wild hair into the character that achieved him enduring fame, Carrot Top. Since creating the persona, Thompson has seen a fair amount of success onstage as a comedian and on film where he essentially plays the same character in most roles.

Films you may have seen the comedian in include Chairman of the Board, Savannah, as well as Pauly Shore Is Dead, among many other smaller roles over a long career. He remains one of the most iconic and famous celebrities with red hair.

The Scottish actress has been seen in many roles over the years, most of which feature her brightly coloured hair. One of her more notable roles, that of Amy Pond on the hit sci-fi show Doctor Who, helped introduce the actress to global audiences.

Since then she has landed roles in hit films such as Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Endgame, as well as Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. However, she only shows off her beautiful natural red hair in the Jumanji series.
